Twist and Grain

These branches caught me because of how light carved them. The high contrast threw every ridge and spiral into sharp relief, turning weathered wood into something almost sculptural. Once I started really looking, each one had its own strange geometry and its own way of moving through space. I began shooting just the form and texture, letting the light transform it. Just the wood itself, twisted and grained, speaking in its own language.
